SEAL U DM-i Comfort Fuel Consumption
Dear all,
currently I'm driving BYD SEAL 5 DM-i, but due to ongoing issues, I'm going to return it. I like the car in terms of the hybrid system, and I'm thinking of going for Seal U DM-i, in the boost or Comfort version (with the naturally aspirated engine).
I had the AWD Design version borrowed while mine was in a service center, and I really liked it. The consumption was OK in a city and outside of town, but was around 9l/100 on highways.
How is the non-turbo version with consumption, please? My Seal 5 has around 7-8 liters, depending on the speed. How big is the difference between Seal 5 and Seal U? Should I be afraid of the consumption of 9-11 liters, or it can do around 8 on highway too?
I'm not able to charge it every day, only once a week, so it's covering most of my city trips on electricity, however I often drive on highway too, where the battery will be empty soon.
