YSL Small Loulou vs Envelope Need Honest Advice Before I Decide
I recently bought the Saint Laurent Small Loulou in natural tan. I originally planned to get the ivory color, but I was worried about color transfer. The natural tan is absolutely gorgeous, but I’m now a little nervous about how the lambskin will hold up over time, especially with kids.
I actually opened the bag the day after I bought it and noticed a few scratches around the flap area. I didn’t see this in the store because I didn’t open the bag under the flap, but once I opened it at home, I noticed it.
I’m considering exchanging it for the Envelope bag in dark beige in quilted grain de poudre leather with the light bronze/brass chain instead, not the shiny gold.
For those who own the Small Loulou in lambskin—I believe older versions weren’t lambskin, so I’m curious how this newer version wears over time. How delicate is the lambskin really? I’d really appreciate honest feedback.
Also, can the Envelope bag be styled casually for everyday outfits, do you think it’s still a classic or starting to feel outdated
