Such a relief my lawyer was able to drop my dui down to a wet and reckless, bac was .13 got stopped in oc. Did a lot of reading that the Fullerton court is very strict even my own lawyer told me that but he did all he can and was able to lower it. Learned my lesson the hard way and will never go through this again.

About 1 year ago I was stopped in Buena Park ca for hitting the curb and my bad luck there was a cop right infront of me at the light. The officer waited for me to pass him and the arresting officer stated I was driving slow. The police stopped me and proceeded to do the usual routine, I apparently passed one of the test where you follow the pen with your eyes. I ended up not doing the other tests. At the station I took the breathalyzer and ended up with .13. I hired a private attorney lost the dmv (which he told me I would most certainly lose due to my bac) The DA filed charges this January and was looking at a DUI. My lawyer advised me on the things I should do to try and get it reduced to wet and reckless. I did MADD, signed up for DUI classes. I also was doing AA meetings2-3 times a week and I got letters from family and I wrote one myself. The lawyer was doing also doing his best to contact the DA and tell him if he would give us an offer. The DA never contacted him back but on the day of my court he ended up texting him and offered a wet and reckless with 1 year informal probation, 3 months dui class pay 400$ to victims charity and to do 50 Aa meetings.
This was such a relief as this would’ve affect me a lot. I also heard OC was a very hard place to get a reduction especially at my bac so I was very stressed out and worried. I’ve learned my lesson though and vow to never repeat my mistake ever again.
