So, my father has always been a shitty person who was basically never in my life. I haven't seen in in person since I was four, and haven't talked to him since I was seven. I don't know a lot about him as my mom thinks still too young (I am underage to be fair), but I would like to know more about him.

Apparently, he was addicted to a lot of nasty stuff, like drugs, alcohol, and smoking. He was also a serial thief. He used to steal toys from the people across the road for me to play with. He also stole a TV from his friend and gave it to my mom for her birthday. While his intentions seem nice, he's a sociopath and convict, so I think he was just trying to get favors. ​

Now, the thing that really makes me think that he tried to kill her is things my mom told me, but I have no way of confirming them because it was before I was born. My mom's dad had cancer and lived in a different state, so my mom would go up to his house every two weeks or so. Apparently every time she left, she got violently sick, like throwing up for hours straight and coughing blood sick. It only ever happened when she left to go see her dying father and didn't happen if she didn't see my dad.

I don't really have a lot of details, but I'll try to see if I can dig anything else up from my mom.

Also, my dad's secret girlfriend once reached out to my mom and told her that my dad had tried to drug her when I was around two, hoping she would die so he could raise me alone. We don't know if this is true, since my mom had never actually talked to this woman, but it's still creepy to think I might very well have been telling the person who wanted my mom dead that I loved him.
