Inside The NBA is no longer a relevant show

Chuck, Ernie, Kenny and Shaq gave us legendary moments/memes when they aired on TNT.

But the material feels forced now. Jokes have gotten stale. It's like that uncle at Thanksgiving dinner that made everyone laugh at the table, but he's now doing the same bit in the living room, and everyone wants him to leave.

Barkley losing weight kind of killed the vibes. The constant criticism of the players is just shitty on his and Shaq's part.

Think the times have passed Inside The NBA. And that's ok. They had a hell of a run.

I think the World Cup is going to be a disaster for the United States

Let's get the politics out of the way: Infantino, FIFA's president, sniffs Donald Trump's jockstrap any chance he gets. He's his puppet. So anything inflammatory Don says during the World Cup about immigrants, or anything of the matter, FIFA won't say a word. And it's very, very possible that if Don is having a bad day, he can send ICE agents to stadiums during match days, and all hell will break loose.

Secondly, the prices are out of control:

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7166874/2026/04/02/fifa-dynamic-pricing-2026-world-cup-tickets/

You're going to have empty stadiums at these games.

FIFA says that all games are sold out, but once the ticket is out the primary possession of the event planner and into “resale,” it’s considered “sold”.

The cheapest ticket to see Portugal vs. Uzbekistan is $750. We're talking nosebleeds.

The cheapest ticket to see Uruguay-Spain in Mexico is $1,354.

So, the majority of time “sold out” events hardly mean that it will be full attendance. For the most part venues/events hardly ever publish “tickets scanned at door” because it is NEVER 100%.

The fans of the big teams, Brazil, Spain, Argentina etc. will show up.

But if you think Haiti-Scotland and Iran-New Zealand are gonna sell out 70,000 seat stadiums, you are in for a rude awakening. Some of the less desirable games will probably be 70% empty if you count day of the week and start time.

Austria-Jordan at 9am PST at Levi's Stadium on a Wednesday? Come on.

(It's actually 9pm PST, my bad. So let's use Czechia-South Africa at 12pm on a Thursday as the example)

Then, there's the USMNT. They're a disaster. They've lost exhibition games to Belgium and Portugal, WC-quality opponents, resoundingly.

There's certainly no guarantee they get out of a group with Australia, Turkey, and Paraguay.

The U.S. Men's National Team has won only one knockout-stage match in modern FIFA World Cup history, defeating Mexico 2–0 in the 2002 Round of 16.

I don't like where this is headed.
