Male Grocery Shoppers

I’ve seen this complaint a lot - but is there a way for Uber to take seriously how inexperienced male shoppers are? Not being sexist, but statistically males don’t typically shop for their household so are genuinely clueless and inexperienced. It’s costing people time, money and frustration. My partner has a concussion and I’ve had to order groceries to take care of them, make them their favourite dishes - tell me why I’ve tried to order cilantro 3 times and now I have three bags of parsley. That hasn’t been the worst experience even. I’ve had to patiently walk them through speciality aisles, deal with ridiculous replacements (one wanted to replace saffron with a canned drink) - it’s always a surprise. When I get a woman, I honestly feel blessed that I won’t have to worry about it and I’ll get the things I need (especially with household dietary restrictions) and if not, they will always communicate.

Someone needs to figure this out, provide training or something!

Edit: For all the men doing a GREAT job, shopping for your families, I’m not talking about you. Thanks for being the exception 👏 But it may be worth reflecting for a moment before getting defensive, and also consider that this may be true for other men that aren’t you based on real experiences from myself and other people. You’re basically invalidating people’ experiences by being defensive right away. It’s also a statistic, like I mentioned. I get it, ego is fragile. But experiences are real. There’s literally and SNL skit on this. It’s universal enough.
