had a friend who would cancel on me constantly. like text me an hour before we were supposed to meet. "omg sorry something came up." every single time.

so i stopped putting in effort. next time she invited me somewhere, i said yes then canceled an hour before. did this three times.

she finally called me out. said i was being flaky and unreliable. i just said "i learned from the best." she got quiet. we don't talk much anymore and honestly i'm okay with that.

TL;DR: Friend always canceled on me. I started canceling on her. She didn't like it.

my apartment building charges extra for assigned parking. i pay $50 a month for a spot right by the entrance. my neighbor is pregnant. she asked if i would let her use my spot until she has the baby because she's having trouble walking.

i said no because i pay for it and i have bad knees from an old sports injury. walking far hurts for me too. she called me selfish. now other neighbors are giving me dirty looks.

i feel bad but also i pay money for this spot. am i the jerk?

TL;DR: Pregnant neighbor wants my paid parking spot. I said no because i also have mobility issues.
