The Shed has started - share experiences on dignicap

Hi!!

I am currently on day 18 of TC #1 and so far my shed has been minimal, with some uptick around day 16.

Today it is significant. I don’t wash my hair everyday but I do get it wet so i can brush it down (I cut it into a pixie and it sticks straight up all over my head if I don’t). I rinsed it until it stopped, but it was a lot of diffuse and small clumps of maybe 5 strands total.

I am paying out of pocket for dignicap. While I know that the goal isnt to keep ALL my hair, just 50% or so, can those who did and didn’t dignicap share how their sheds went?

Should I expect the shedding to happen around the same time/amount?

It has grown throughout this process, too. As has my leg, public hair, ect.

New to Me ‘23 Prime XSE

Had it for about a week and I love this car!

I will probably only have to fill up once every two months or so for trips down to Denver from the mountains. I did not get a good deal, but seemed about right for Denver. Certified pre-owned was important to me.

I had a CPO 2010 Prius (purchased 2013) until 2022. I loved that car - had zero issues until hybrid battery started to fail around 200k. Ended up in an Ascent and while that car was a beast in the snow, gas was awful and the car was full of Gremlins - should’ve never left Toyota and happy to be back.

Was considering a Prius again, but couldn’t have AWD and Plugin, plus ground clearance probably would’ve caused some issues up here.

‘23 Subaru Ascent > ‘23 Rav4Prime

ETA: That was supposed to be an arrow not greater than..🤦‍♀️

I just bought a ‘23 Rav 4 Prime XSE. I have seen people say that it isn’t worth it, but I am super happy with it. I did not get a deal, but I am trying to make peace with it. $41k with 32k miles but super clean and certified pre-owned. I traded a ‘23 Ascent that was getting 18 MPG, so this feels like heaven.

This was my trip downhill (but still up and down passes) from mountains to Denver starting with full EV charge. On the way back uphill with 0 EV, I got 38 MPG. I live 2.5 miles from my workplace in my little mountain town and usually go to Denver twice a month. I will probably only gas up once every two months. Takes about $2 to charge overnight to about 45 miles.

Any tips?
