How does the CAL Grant Work? On my FAFSA form, I listed 4 schools. I only submitted my GPA/Transcript to LAVC. I'm officially enrolled and have paid for my classes at LAVC. Why does it say I'm not approved for Cal Grant and why does it say my school is Gurnick? I'm not planning on going to any other school except LAVC. What should I do??? How can I change the school to my school I'm attending?
Hey everyone, I’m a bit confused right now and could use some help. On my student portal, it says I have no FAFSA for 2026-2027 yet. I reached out to them, and they said it should be processed this week or next. This is my first time applying for FAFSA and being a student. I’ve added classes for Summer and Fall. I paid for my Summer class myself, but I held off on Fall because I'm waiting for financial aid approval. To my surprise, I checked today and saw I don't owe any money anymore.. Apparently they already paid for my Fall class! I’m not complaining, I’m grateful they covered it. But I have questions..What exactly is the BOG Fee Waiver? Why is my financial aid or grant not showing up on my account yet? Do they usually pay the fees first and then approve aid afterward? Thanks so much for your insights, everyone.
