I have been running ads for 3 years now (with varying levels of success, but am still overall unprofitable due to my prior inability to not touch my campaigns, ads, etc.). However, I have now calmed down after doing a ton of trial and error (and research) and am now following a systematic approach which has been doing well so far.
My issue is, I have a cold prospecting campaign and am looking to get my retargeting working. However, all of my custom audiences from my website (view content, page view, purchase, etc.) are all stuck on pending for audience size segment (but they are marked as ready in availability).
A few things to note:
-I am using the Shopify Meta integration with max data sharing
-No, I do not have the shopify pixel setting where it turns off the pixel (I have always had this set to always on)
-My emq for these events are above 7 for page view and view content, ~9.5 for purchase and somewhere in between for ATC
-Yes, I am using CAPI and have matching server and website events (very closely matched)
-Yes, I am using the correct pixel as source
-Yes, my events manager is showing 8,000+ view contents in the last 30 days (which I can verify is accurate from my Shopify dashboard)
I ran a check on these audiences using the meta marketing api and it is also saying the lower bound and upper bound of my audience sizes are 20 across all my web audiences.
I have older audiences that I used to retarget (which did well) and even these are stuck on pending and are showing 20 in the api too.
What is up with this? I have checked across reddit, used claude, etc. and have not gotten an answer. i launched a retargeting campaign a month or so ago and it got like $1 of spend per day despite having my view content, page view, and atc audiences for the past 180 days (which should be tens of thousands of people based on Shopify and my events manager).
If my pixel and server events are seeing these people, shopify is seeing these people, the setup is correct (and unchanged in the case of my prior audience) then wtf is going on? I haven’t been labeled as health and wellness and I dont have any errors in my account.
Please help.
