Forgive me, please, if this has been asked thousands of times, I promise I tried to search first.

Like the title says, one of my children, a pre-teen, asked me if I knew what a furry was today. I told them that I was part of the community when I was younger but haven't actively participated in a long time, and when I did a lot of the spaces I knew of were not kid friendly.

I was hoping to have some advice from parents in a similar situation and younger furs who have had to navigate living in a not perfectly welcoming to furrydom households.

i am of course happy to support my child however I can but their other parent is not going to take to the knowledge kindly. Before you worry about that, we are separated long term but co-parent fairly amicably.

Thanks in advance!

I think I got this as part of a christmas arrangement with some asparagus fern alongside. I have no idea what it is, it's very sensitive to having wet feet and every attempt to identify it comes back with a succulent or a tomato plant.
