2nd day trip of the year done!

Just got back from the 2nd day trip I have taken this year and still in love. I went from Detroit, along lake snt Clair, along snt Clare River and ending at port Huron. Then I legit just motored back home down the interstate since I was getting sore from being on the bike for 5ish hours. Did some sight seeing and some pictures, but only one of the bike at this standard oil store. I did 200 miles and I was astonished that I got 47.8MPG on the way there which was mostly 55mph. And a random goal of mine is to see every great lake this year, so far 1 lake down 4 to go.

So I ride a 1979 Honda goldwing and I like to take a toolkit with me in case something fails and I need to fix it on the side of the road. But I am starting to think I just have too much in it since it's kinda heavy. But I love the fact it's enough tools to take damn near the entire bike apart if I want to.

So I have been riding for a few months now and I am really struggling with corner confidence. I have fresh tires at the correct pressure, fully rebuilt suspension and everything to prevent wobbles. But I have 2 massive worries about taking corners at speed, first is hitting a small patch of gravel or sand and it causing a low side, or leaning too far where I scrap the engine guards causing a crash which in reality is a very low risk. I am doing my best to look through the corner and observe all hazards but I am still quite cautious of everything. And yes I know a 79 Honda goldwing is a terrible first bike.
