Wanted to share my before and after photos for anyone who is looking to improve skin discolouration and texture. I have combination skin - mostly dry but a lot of whiteheads and texture on my forehead.
My routine
AM
Boderm Acmed 20% Azeliac acid (non-prescription) - this is the cheapest I can find, if you can afford the to get an Azeliac acid in gel format I would recommend it because this cream is a bit gritty
Moisturizer (non-EU)
Laroche possay SPF
PM
Cleanser (non-EU)
Geek and gorgeous A-game retinal (I progressively increase the strength from 0.05%-0.2% every 4-6 months)
Moisturizer (non-EU)
Edit: just wanted to mention that I did not start with 20% azelaic acid! It’s strong stuff. I actually started with 10% and kept using it for most of the journey and only in the last 5 months have I been using stronger aza cream. I spent 3 months using 15% and then 2 on 20% after noticing that Boderm Acmed is cheaper. I recommend waiting until you feel like your skin barrier is stable before increasing the strength of your products and only increasing the strength of one product at a time.
Slow and steady wins the race… Fast and inconsistent ruins your face 😅
