A TikTok theory I can’t find again but really want to discuss

What if Brennan surviving is directly tied to Asher’s death?

I saw a TikTok yesterday with a theory I actually thought was really good, but now I can’t find it anywhere. I swear I liked the post and now it’s just vanished, so I wanted to post it here because I genuinely think it’s a really plausible theory.

Basically, the idea was that Naolin didn’t just “save” Brennan, but that he may have kept him alive by tying Brennan’s life to someone else’s life force, and that person could have been Asher Sorrengail.

What made it stand out to me was the timeline. The TikTok pointed out that the year Brennan supposedly died is also when Asher’s chest pains started. So instead of his illness being random, or just caused by stress or grief, what if it was actually linked to whatever Naolin did to bring Brennan back?

Since Naolin was a siphon, it makes the theory even more interesting because his power was all about taking power from one source and redirecting it somewhere else. So the theory was basically that Naolin may have used Asher as the source or anchor to keep Brennan alive. Meaning Brennan survived, but at the cost of his father slowly getting weaker over time.

And what makes it even sadder is the idea that the stronger Brennan got, or the more fully “back” he became, the more frequent Asher’s chest pains became, until it eventually led to his death. That would mean Brennan being alive was never free, and the price was being paid the entire time through Asher.

The TikTok also mentioned something about Asher maybe having a rune on his hand, and that possibly being part of the tether or transfer, but I can’t remember that part as clearly. The main point was that Brennan being alive and Asher declining could be directly connected.

I don’t know if this will actually turn out to be true, but I honestly think it’s one of the more credible theories I’ve seen. Brennan’s survival has always felt like it came with a bigger cost than we fully understand, and this would be such a brutal reveal if that’s where Rebecca is going with it.

Did anyone else see that TikTok, or has anyone else come across this theory before?
