Let’s sweep those Bronx Bums. Their arrogant fans need to be taken down a notch.

Soto, Vientos and the slap hitters are going to put a clinic against the Yankees. Hit and run. Bunting. Hitting behind the base runners. Let’s do it boys. Let’s get us 6 runs over this 3 game set.

Our punching Judy team will make a run.

It won’t be pretty but Soto, Vientos and the slap hitters will make a run. We will be playing meaningful September baseball.

Was this lineup a product of Stearns’ formula? How are we playing Slater and Ibanez instead of Baty?

Fire Stearns now. We have to see what Baty is. We know what Slater and Ibanez are. This is just dumb.

Bring up Clifford; play Vientos at DH and Baty at Third.

Either we make a run at the wild card or we see if these guys are major league caliber. But rotating the lineup with guys who we know have no future heard is counterproductive and not getting us win anyway

McLean making adjustments

Baseball players (other than our shitty team) dominate the hard stuff. They have problems with soft stuff and movements. It seems that the league has caught up to McLean the last few starts especially third time through the order. This shouldn’t happen Nolan’s stuff is too elite.

Yesterday he made a change. He started taking speed off the breaking ball and it confused the shit out of Arizona. Hoping to see McLean continue his evolution.

Bret Baty and Senga

These are two players with super talent. Baty has elite bat speed and a great arm. Has owned the minors. Senga’s stuff is A +.

Yet both struggle. According to Gelbs, Baty frequently thinks about the art of hitting and his approach. He tries to react instead of thinking too much- which means thinking too much is slowing him down and he’s doing way to much of it.

Senga has great stuff but has historically went through periods of wildness because the stuff is hard to harness. The fans get impatient and he then placates them by throwing lollipops down the middle. The self confident player tries to find his form and not give in. senga throws batting practice. This team needs better sports psychologists. Both players should be better.

Another homerun for Alonso. He’s under paid.

If you give Bichette 42 million a year then Pete should receive 50 million. Bichette’s run production has never touched Pete’s.

How many guys are there in baseball who hit 40 homers and get 100RBI yearly?

Those are the Polar Bear’s home run numbers. He had 16 in the COVID shortened season. This is an all time Mets great. We let him walk. Without even attempting to match the Orioles. For this Stearns should be fired NOW.

How many players in our history put up these numbers? And we just let him go? And there are morons on this forum who defend this move. “How is he doing for the Orioles?” More homers and RBI than any of our players! Even when hitting into tough luck.

This is the worst GM job I’ve seen as a Mets fan for 30 plus years. Pitching was the problem so we blew up the position players. Stearns needs to be fired today. I love Uncle Stevie but he needs to make a move here. Stearns has set us back for years with this bs.

Betances, Weaver and Williams. Why would we pay for these guys if the Yankees don’t want them? Is there a magical pitching coach that’s going to resurrect these guys?

Did the workload cause them to lose their stuff? It’s looking like Harvey and Syndergaard in terms of the drop off. There’s flashes of return to form, but it’s very short.

Manaea got the payoff with a free agent deal. Peterson is an FA next year. Didn’t work out for him

Luis Robert never played 150 games. Polanco had one year where he played 150. The struggles were easily foreseeable. Awful job by Stearns,
