I got them both…

I got them both…

I caved and ended up going with the power strip AND the GGS Controller. I was really stuck between the two because part of me still wanted the GGS Controller, but then I realized if I ever needed a humidifier or dehumidifier, I’d have to buy one that can read humidity and adjust itself automatically. which is even more money.

With the power strip, I can just plug in a cheaper humidifier and let the strip handle shutting it off when needed. Overall, I still got a pretty solid deal. Spider Farmer’s price was $135.99, the coupon code “cannaluke” took off $10.88, and Green Thumb Depot’s price match knocked off another $5. Saved about $15 total, so I couldn’t let that deal slip away. $120 for both isn’t too bad considering how expensive they are.

I’m one step closer to starting my grow journey. All that’s needed now is the soil and✨the seeds✨.

Finally Here!!

Finally came in the mail today. Bigger than I expected so it didn’t fit in the room. 2.3 x 2.3 x 5’2 in tall. They forgot the thermometer and hygrometer so waiting for them to open on Monday. Do you fellas think it’s necessary to get the power bank and ggs control or is that overkill? For extra info i work 2nd shift from 3-11 PM so i’m not sure how timing is gonna work.

Jack Wreck

Has anyone tried this strain? it’s exclusive and a clone only strain. However, superior hydroponics is selling 3 autoflowering seeds for $25. Interesting because it’s clone only and has no seeds. Heard this strain is the best of both worlds. Jack Herer x Trainwreck

Alright folks, you all have been extremely helpful on my previous post. I went ahead and ordered the Spider Farmer 2x2 and I’m currently waiting for it to arrive. In the meantime, I’ve been researching the other basics I’ll need like soil, nutrients, and of course, seeds.

From what I’ve read, autoflowers seem less forgiving and easier to stunt, while photoperiods are more flexible and beginner-friendly. With that in mind, would you recommend starting with photoperiods as a first-time grower?

Also, what seed banks/sites have you had good experiences with in terms of quality, reliability, and price?

Feel free to share your favorite soil and nutrient recommendations too. I appreciate all the help and advice as I start this journey!

I have a small closet space in my apartment that I’m thinking about turning into a simple grow setup for a beginner—just one plant to start with.

The closet is under the stairs, so the ceiling isn’t flat; it slopes downward. The space is about 35 inches wide, and there’s a bar I could hang a light from that’s around 65 inches high, though I might be able to raise it slightly (about 5–8 inches).

For now, I want to keep things simple and learn the basics before trying anything more advanced, like potentially moving a plant outdoors later during flowering.

Right now I’m trying to figure out what I actually need to get started. From what I’ve read, I should line the walls with Mylar, use a full-spectrum LED light around 100W to keep electricity costs low (possibly something like the Spider Farmer SF1000), and include a carbon filter to manage smell along with a small fan for air circulation.

I’m mainly looking for advice on whether this setup makes sense for a beginner, if I’m missing anything important, and what I should be aware of before starting. Any guidance would be really appreciated
