I (19F) hate playing games with my Bf (21M)

We recently started playing it takes two which i heard tests many relationships and i feel as if mine is being tested too lol… we play a few chapters each day and every time we play it, it ends up with me being upset. Im just trying to have fun by spending time with him over this co-op game while he is in my ear talking in a really aggressive tone saying stuff like “Oh my god just jump jump and dash”.

For context, i haven’t played on my pc for a very long time so i was still getting used to the keyboard keys again (i told him that as well and he said whats so ahrd about it u use your keyboard every single day on ur phone too) but it was pretty hard for me especially since the game controls were hard to remember for me. He also played this game before with his friend so he knows what to do but i cant deal with him mansplaining in my god damn ear which makes everything so unenjoyable. I try to laugh off mistakes i made in the game and he would do so too but if i take TOO long,he just gets annoyed again.

My bf told me once that i am too sensitive but not in the manner where guys usually say ur sensitive when they disrespect you. He told me im too sensitive becuz of a game again (valorant). I game for fun and he games competitively. I didnt play how a VCT player would play and his tone just changed up asking me “Why did you peak?! U knew he was there!!”. Im so used to him talking to me in a gentle tone so i will get upset easily if he changes his tone on me suddenly. I told him this when he told me i was sensitive and he said i should try to change because when im hurt he’s hurt as well but i personally feel my feelings are not that easy to change. If changing is so easy, why cant he change his competitive gaming nature?

Im so fed up with this gaming bullshit cuz him changing his tone on me just makes me feel like im being a cry baby. We communicated many times about this but i still feel the same every time we play. Am i really being too sensitive or is he just being mean? How can i change my sensitiveness or how can i communicate better with him?
