Leaving The Cult
After reading the "Leaving The Cult" post I became really curious about two things:
a. People that left.
b. People that are planning to leave.
As someone who is planning to leave, I would like to know a few things about people in the community who are planning (or have) jumped ship.
a. What prompted you to leave?
b. What exactly are you doing now?
c. Was the transition an easy one? Are you happy and fulfilled with your decision?
I'll start with myself:
a. I'm leaving because all the changes that came to my institution last year completely changed the environment and my purpose in life have changed.
b. I'm going to apply to medical school.
c. I do not anticipate the transition to be easy as medical school (DO program) is challenging in all sorts of ways, but I know I have what it takes to succeed and navigate the challenges that will come my way.
