Sharing news of new baby
My 3 year old daughters father and I co parent. We get along the best we can, and take a couple ‘ family ‘ trips in the summer. This summer one to a lake and later on a music festival.
He knows of my long distance relationship with my new partner and they know each other and can get along- albeit awkwardly.
Ex mentions often how he should just give up the festival tickets to both of us- but my current partner doesn’t want to go and I’m only going to support the ‘ family trip ‘ I think it’s important for my daughter to see her father and I together and getting along.
I’m 12 weeks pregnant… unexpectedly.
How the f do I break this news to him?
Should I do it AT the lake trip, or before?
I think he will probably ask me not to go, which is ok.
I worry about how he will react, I worry he will spiral into bad drinking habits which is typical for him.
I worry about how his behavior may affect our daughter.
