Liquid metal and cooling pads
TLDR: Can 24/7 incline cause problems with liquid metal cooling?
I bought ASUS ROG Strix G16 G615, the 2025 model with both CPU and GPU being cooled with liquid metal, and also have a Llano V10 cooling pad for a while that I used with my older laptop.
Thing is, I've heard and seen many horror stories online of LM leaking out from the dies and causing mess everywhere on the motherboard, so I'd like to avoid this at as much as possible.
But I usually used my Llano cooling pad angled, I think it's around 10 degrees, so that naturally begs a question - could it speed up the leakage issue or maybe pump-out?
I just wanted to know if it's worth to fold the feet and keep the Llano pad flat. I mean, it's gotta be less efficient than the current 10 degrees position, since there's much less space for proper airflow.
