We can search for Kainga Ora housing - which (let's not even start lol) is mostly utilised to judge whether or not to move to a certain area. Why can't the same logic be applied to sexual offenders?
Should the public have access to the sexual offenders registry?
Should we have the right to know if we live near an offender?
Is the welfare of that person paramount to others?

A decade and a half ago. It was my mum's unveiling (combined with her parents who died in the years before and after her). We were carrying her headstone in a trailer. In the rear view mirror I see a black car, hearse type, close behind me. I'm driving, I tell my dad, "I'll just let this car past." I pull over. There's no car.
A few years later a friend talks of a similar occurrence on the way to her dad's funeral. She didn't know of my experience.
Anyone else experienced the black car? What did it mean to you?
