Has anyone successfully ditched a juvenile nickname or variation of their name that you hate?

My legal first name is Rebecca. My parents called me Becky from my infancy until I was around 13, then started calling me both Becky and Becca.

I'm about to be 30, and those names just feel juvenile to me. I'm just Becca to everyone, except family. I really like the name Bea, and it works as a variation of Rebecca. When I brought this up to family members, they literally laughed at me. How do I ditch my nicknames? I'd even take being called my whole first name at this point.
