I’ve been working on a mobile app called FuelBrain and I’m currently running a closed alpha.

Most fuel apps just show prices — but you still have to decide when to refuel.

So I built something different:

FuelBrain is a decision engine that simply tells you:

• WAIT
• REFUEL NOW
• CHARGE NOW

The goal is to remove overthinking and make the decision for you.

🚀 What it does

• Predicts the best time to refuel based on real-time data
• Tracks your fuel behavior
• Shows how much you could have saved
• Gives simple, actionable insights (not just raw data)
• Supports multiple vehicles

There’s also a company mode for small fleets (3–10 vehicles) to analyze usage and reduce costs.

⚠️ Availability

Currently only available in Germany 🇩🇪 and Austria 🇦🇹 and only for Android
(because of the data sources I’m using)

ich hab mich in letzter Zeit öfter gefragt, wie sinnvoll es eigentlich ist, aktiv auf den “richtigen” Zeitpunkt zum Tanken zu achten.

Die meisten Apps zeigen ja nur Preise – aber die Entscheidung bleibt trotzdem bei einem selbst: - jetzt tanken oder noch warten?

Ich teste gerade eine App, die genau das übernimmt und am Ende nur sagt:

• warten
• jetzt tanken

Also eher eine klare Handlung statt viel Daten.

Zusätzlich schaut sie sich auch an:

• wie man selbst tankt
• ob man eher zu früh / zu spät tankt
• wie viel man hätte sparen können

Und man kann auch mehrere Autos verwalten (z. B. wenn man mehr fährt oder eine Firma hat).

Funktioniert aktuell mit Daten für Österreich (inkl. Wien).

Mich würde interessieren:

• Achtet ihr aktiv auf den Tankzeitpunkt?
• Würdet ihr so einer Empfehlung vertrauen oder lieber selbst entscheiden?
