AIW for being upset over gossiping
Background: within a few months of this situation, my brother in law was hit by a car and found dying in a hospital after trying to change a tire on the highway…
So I’m a bit paranoid and want to make sure my partner is safe !
My parter went out for drinks after work 2pm with coworkers, about 4 hours in he says he’s coming home and then 2 hours later he’s not home.
I checked his location and which is stopped in the middle of the freeway . I have a mini heart palpitation.
I call no answer … so an hour goes and then 2 and I’m worried still no call. So I start to really worry, dui, emergency, etc.
I contact his father stating hey this is totally out of character and I’m not sure if he’s ok or being inconsiderate.
3 hours later at midnight he strolls through the door, stating his phones died and he was talking to a coworker about who is safe to speak with , who’s cool with him and blah … I responded with, “so you were gossiping while I’m worried sick and you didn’t even think to put your phone(both work and personal )on a charger to tell me you’re safe” he responds with raising his voice insisting it’s not gossiping!
I got pissed off and told him he’s and inconsiderate gossiping asshole…
A few days later we go to family trip and the situation gets brought up and it triggers me and once again I called him an inconsiderate gossiping asshole. And this time I attempted to get his family involved to advise him that is gossiping. They got pissed off at me and I got frustrated and stormed out.. aiw!
