Sometimes my toddler is just constantly running away from the door when we’re trying to get out of the house. We try explaining we’re going somewhere fun or even saying to get ice cream. She just runs.
She’s almost 2.5 years old.

I tend to carry more weight in my belly and arms than elsewhere. I’ve been trying to lose weight since having a baby. But now my stomach seems larger (and carrying more fat) than my thighs. I end up with pants too big everywhere or too tight on my belly.
Has anyone run into this problem and found a solution to it? I guess I’m wondering there’s any adjustments to my diet or workouts to help or at least not make this problem worse?
40F, 5’2”, Eating 1500-2000 calories a day.
I started working out again in December doing reformer Pilates 3-5 times a week. Mid January, I began to start weight training. But due to winter and the constant sicknesses with my toddler and I, I would only average to 2.5 hours of workouts a week. From December to end of March, I lost about 15 lbs (140 lbs to 125 lbs) and body fat 4.5% (35% to 30.5%)
This month I’ve been more consistent. I’ve been working out about 4 hours a week. It’s been a mix of reformer Pilates, weightlifting and light cardio (walk/jog) intervals on the treadmill. I do the light cardio to help me get to 10,000 steps a day. Otherwise I only get to 7,000 steps a day.
Edit: I have PCOS. I always carried more weight in my stomach and arms.
Edit 2: my main goal is to get stronger and feel better in clothes. I feel frumpy.
Every jean/pant/shorts I wear are tight on the stomach but perfect on my butt and thighs. If I size up it’s too everywhere and the pants tend to fall off.
I’ve tried Levi’s and Old Navy. Not sure what other brands to try. I’m overwhelmed with the choices and don’t want to try a million things on.
Any suggestions?
