Hey guys,

Looking at the Varstrom TSDZ2B (36V 250W). I have no interest in breaking speed limits or "hot-rodding" the motor.

I’m strictly looking at Open Source Firmware (OSF) for:

Efficiency: Better battery range through optimized motor timing.

Heat Control: Better thermal management to prevent burnout on hills.

Refinement: A smoother torque sensor response.

In 2026, is the stock firmware still running "hot" and inefficient, or has Tongsheng fixed the motor maps? Is it worth voiding the warranty just for a more reliable, cooler-running motor?

Thanks!
