Don't do like I did and use the research salvage kit on an ad infinitum precursor since you then need to start over from scratch since it only gives a handful of research notes and no spirit needed to craft the next step...

Also, support's response to try and restore is basically "sucks to be you, start over". Honestly makes me want to drop the game after having basically wasted so much time and now having to redo so much of the work.
