Good day, everyone!

I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines.

Elfy is my newest rescue and one of the 32 rescued cats currently under my care. I suspect that she once had an owner, but was neglected and recently abandoned.

I received a report about a new cat in one of the areas where I regularly feed stray cats. When I went there, I found Elfy weak, malnourished, and struggling to survive.

She was having difficulty eating and showed poor balance and instability. On May 9, I was able to bring her to the vet for a check-up. According to the vet, Elfy has dental issues and was diagnosed with Neuro FIP. She had been confined at the animal hospital since then and was discharged today.

She was prescribed medications, and thankfully, I was able to settle the vet bill and purchase most of her medicines. However, due to lack of funds, I was not able to buy the injectable medication for FIP (GS-441524, available online), which she urgently needs.

I am humbly knocking on your heart's door to help me with Elfy’s medical expenses. She deserves a longer, healthier life.

Any amount you can send will be a big help in Elfy's medical treatment. Rest assured that I will post updates with photos and receipts throughout Elfy’s journey.

Donations will be used for:
• 1 vial of GS-441524 (including shipping fee) – $35
• 7 cans of recovery food ($4 per can) – $28
• 7-day injection charge ($8 per shot/day) – $56
• 7-day transportation for injections ($2 per day) – $14

Total: $133

Please note that I do not have a medical background and do not yet know how to administer the injections. Because of this, I will need to bring Elfy to the nearest vet clinic, Deloso Veterinary Clinic, once I have the medication. I truly hope to eventually learn how to give the injections myself so I can continue her treatment at home every day.

APPRECIATION | A big THANK YOU to everyone! Because of your help, food and litter supplies were purchased for 31 rescued cats and over 40 stray cats | Medical Updates on Cancer Cat Maui, Abandoned Cat Elfy, Post-Surgery Gregg and Cancer Cat Pogs

Hello everyone!

With your help and support, I was able to purchase food and litter supplies for 31 rescued cats and over 40 stray cats.

The total amount spent at the pet shop was $294 plus the delivery charge. Please note that these supplies will last for approximately a couple of weeks.

Update on Maui (Photos 12 to 14)
Cancer Cat Maui was discharged on May 9 and is home since then. The vet advised me to continue giving him his renal and iron supplements. I was also able to settle the remaining vet bill of $113.

Update on Elfy (Photos 15 to 18)
Finally, Elfy was confined at the animal hospital on May 9. Aside from her dental issues, she is also suspected to have Neuro FIP. I was able to settle the initial vet bill of $146, which covered the first day of confinement, Parvo test, CBC test, Blood Chemistry test, and consultation fee. There will be daily confinement charges, along with medication and food expenses. The hospital has been sending me regular updates about Elfy via Viber, and I will be visiting her soon.

Update on Gregg (Photo 19)
Gregg completed his 7th laser therapy session on May 8 to support his recovery and help avoid or lessen mobility issues following his bone surgery. He will complete the remaining 3 sessions this week and is scheduled to be neutered next week.

Update on Pogs (Photo 20)
Cancer Cat Pogs’ appetite has somewhat decreased. I will bring him to the vet for a check-up as soon as I am able to raise funds for his treatment.

Thank you so much for your continued help and support. I truly appreciate every bit of kindness extended to these little angels.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers around the world! ❤️

HELP NEEDED | Running Low on Food and Litter Supplies for 31 Rescued Cats and Over 40 Stray Cats | Please Take Time to Read My Post | I Also Need Help for My Cancer Cats, “Maui” and “Pogs” | Any Amount You Can Send Will Very Much Appreciated. Thank You.

Good day, everyone!

I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines. At the moment, I care for 31 rescued cats and feed over 40 stray cats everyday. I do TNR, rescue cats whenever needed, and also visit different areas to feed, do TNR and help stray cats.

I am humbly asking for your help. I am currently running low on food and litter supplies. Any amount you can send will help me continue feeding and caring for these little angels. Rest assured that I will post an update with photos and receipt.

Donations will be used for:

• 2 sacks of adult dry food ($60 per 20 kg sack) — $120

• 2 sacks of kitten dry food ($34 per 10 kg sack) — $68

• 28 cans of adult wet food ($1.40 per can) — $39

• 40 pouches of wet food ($0.75 per pouch) — $30

• 8 bags of litter ($5 per 10 lbs. bag) — $40

Total: $297

Some of my rescued cats urgently need medical treatment, while others are currently undergoing treatment.

Update on Gregg (photos 12, 13 and 14)

Gregg was diagnosed with a dislocated thigh bone and underwent bone surgery in March. He needs 10 laser therapy sessions to help with his recovery and prevent/lessen mobility issues. Today, he completed his 7th session. Each session costs $17, and thankfully, I was able to raise enough funds for the remaining sessions.

Update on Maui (photos 15 and 16)

Maui previously had a tumor on his left hind paw. He underwent tumor removal surgery and biopsy in February and was later diagnosed with cancer. Last week, his appetite suddenly decreased, so I brought him to the vet on May 2. Based on his blood test results, the vet found kidney and pancreas issues and advised immediate confinement at the clinic. Due to lack of funds, I initially had to take him home. Thankfully, I was eventually able to raise enough funds, and Maui has been confined at the vet clinic since May 7. Hopefully, he will be discharged tomorrow.

Funds raised for Maui: $115

Estimated bill upon discharge, as advised by the vet: approximately $134

Remaining balance needed: $19

Update on Elfy (photos 17 and 18)

Elfy is my most recent rescue. I suspect she once had an owner but was neglected and eventually abandoned in one of the areas where I feed stray cats daily. She is currently weak and malnourished.

Upon checking, I discovered that she has severe dental issues. I was able to schedule her dental surgery for next week. The estimated cost is at least $200, and thankfully, I was able to raise funds for the procedure.

Update on Pogs (photos 19 and 20)

Pogs also suffered from dental issues and underwent dental surgery in March. During the procedure, the vet discovered tumors inside his mouth and took a sample for biopsy. Pogs was diagnosed with oral cancer. Recently, his appetite has slowly started decreasing. I plan to bring him to the vet as soon as I raise enough funds for his treatment. The estimated cost is around $60, take-home medications not yet included.

Good day, everyone!

I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines. At the moment, I have 31 rescued cats and I feed over 40 stray cats in our area every day. I also do TNR whenever I can and go to other areas for feeding and TNR as well.

Maui:
Maui is a stray cat who underwent tumor removal surgery in February. The tumor was sent to a laboratory for biopsy, and the results confirmed that it is malignant (cancer).

While his surgical wound is healing well, I noticed a decrease in his appetite last week. I was able to bring him to the vet on May 2, where he underwent CBC and blood chemistry tests. The vet diagnosed issues with his pancreas and liver and recommended confinement for at least one day for IV fluids and proper treatment. Unfortunately, I currently don't have enough funds. In the meantime, he was given an antibiotic injection and prescribed a medication.

Estimated costs for Maui:
• 1-day confinement: $47
• CBC and Blood Chemistry: $48
• Take-home medication: approximately $20
Total: $115

Donations received from previous post: $83
Remaining amount needed for Maui: $32

Please see my previous post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/rescuecats/comments/1t3ezhk/help_needed_maui_was_at_the_vet_on_may_2_he_was/

Meet Elfy:
I received a report about a new cat in one of the areas where I regularly feed. When I went there, I found Elfy looking weak and malnourished. I suspect she once had an owner but was neglected and eventually abandoned.

She attempts to eat but stops frequently, then tries again after a few minutes. Upon checking, she has dental issues that need urgent attention.

Estimated cost for Elfy: minimum $200
Based on previous rescues who underwent dental surgery, such as Kimchi and Pogs, this includes:
• Anesthesia
• Prophylaxis
• Tooth extraction
• 1-day confinement
• Take-home medications

Please note that the number of teeth to be extracted can only be confirmed during the procedure and the medications will depend on the vet’s assessment and findings.

Update on Gregg
Gregg underwent bone surgery in late March. He requires 10 laser therapy sessions to aid recovery and prevent mobility issues. He completed his 6th session on May 5. Each session costs $17.

I am humbly asking for your support for Maui, Elfy, and Gregg. Being a solo rescuer is already a challenge and I have been struggling to raise funds for my rescues lately. Any amount you can send will be a big help for these three little angels.

Hello everyone,

I’m a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines.

I originally posted in May to ask for help for JC (Jollibee Cat), who was urinating while eating, and for Gregg, who had bone surgery and needs laser therapy to support his recovery and prevent mobility issues.

Please see my original post here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Straycats/comments/1t0rg53/help_needed_gregg_needs_laser_therapy_after_bone/

Thanks to your kindness, I received $83 out of the $208 goal for JC and Gregg. I was able to bring JC to the vet. Based on the consultation and blood test results, she is in good health. The vet explained that she was most likely spraying, even though she is female and was already spayed last year. She is one of the 70+ cats I’ve had fixed in 2026.

Since she is healthy, I decided to release her back to her usual area (Jollibee fastfood branch), about 10 minutes from my apartment. I will continue visiting her regularly to feed her and check on her condition.

Her vet bill was $56, leaving $27 remaining from the donations. I used this to help another rescued cat, Maui.

Maui previously had a tumor on his left hind paw, which was removed along with a biopsy in February. He was diagnosed with cancer. Over the past few days, I noticed a decrease in his appetite and that he had become less active when out of his cage.

At the vet clinic, Maui underwent blood tests and wound cleaning. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with pancreatic and kidney issues. The vet strongly recommended confinement for at least one day so he could receive IV fluids, injectable medications, and proper monitoring.

Due to limited funds, I had to bring him home. The vet administered an antibiotic injection and prescribed renal medication. The bill came to $86.

I am now asking for help to have Maui confined at the clinic so he can receive the care he urgently needs. According to the vet, he will need 1–2 days of confinement, followed by repeat blood tests to assess improvement. He may also require additional take-home medications afterward.

Estimated costs for Maui:
• 1-day confinement: $47
• CBC and Blood Chemistry: $48
• Take-home medication: approximately $20
Total: $115

Please note that Gregg still requires 6 laser therapy sessions at $17 per session, which is a total of $102.

Any amount you can share for Maui’s treatment and Gregg's laser therapy sessions would mean so much. Thank you.

Good day, everyone!

I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines. Currently, I care for 31 rescued cats, and I feed over 40 stray cats in our area every day. I actively do TNR (trap-neuter-return) whenever possible and rescue whenever needed. I also go to nearby areas to feed and do TNR.

I humbly knocking on your heart's door for your help for two of the cats under my care:

Gregg was a stray cat diagnosed with a dislocated thigh bone. He had bone surgery (FHO) on March 24. To support his recovery and minimize long-term mobility issues, he needs 10 sessions of laser therapy. He has completed 4 sessions so far and still needs 6 more.

Please help me with Gregg’s remaining laser therapy sessions.

Jollibee Cat is one of the 70+ stray cats I was able to have spayed and neutered last year. Today, I decided to visit and feed her. I noticed that she was urinating while eating. This is not normal and may indicate a serious urinary issue that needs immediate veterinary attention.

Thankfully, a kind security guard helps look after her by providing water and feeding her leftovers from a fast-food chain. However, I suspect that a diet of leftovers may have contributed to her condition.

I am also humbly asking for your support to bring Jollibee Cat to the vet for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Donations will be used for:

  • Gregg’s laser therapy (6 sessions × $17): $102
  • Consultation fee (Jollibee Cat): $9
  • CBC & Blood Chemistry (Jollibee Cat): $47
  • X-ray (Jollibee Cat): $17
  • Take-home medications (Jollibee Cat): approximately $33

Total: $208

Please note that this is an estimate for Jollibee Cat and may go lower or even higher depending on the veterinarian’s final diagnosis (Gregg’s cost is fixed).

Rest assured, I will post an update with photos and official receipt.

Today, one of my rescues, Kuracha (approximately 9 months old), was successfully spayed to prevent unwanted pregnancy. In addition, four of my rescue cats—Kuruchi, Luis, Marco, and Leon—have been showing symptoms of cat flu and were given antibiotic shots.

I am humbly asking for help in settling today’s veterinary bill. Here is the breakdown:

• Spay – $31 (see photo 7)

• Antibiotic shots (4) – $68 (see photo 8)

Total: $99

Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for all the boosts, upvotes, and donations for these little angels.

I’d like to share a quick update on the supplies. I was able to purchase items from the local pet shop on April 25. As more donations continued to come in, I made another purchase on April 26. Since the nearby pet shop ran out of stock, I used the remaining funds to order supplies online, which are expected to arrive within 2–3 business days.

Here’s the breakdown of expenses:

April 25 (pet shop): $173 (please see photos 1 and 2)

April 26 (pet shop): $178 (please see photos 3 and 4)

Online purchase: $31 (please see photos 5 to 8)

Total amount spent: $382

These supplies should last a little over two weeks.

I am truly grateful for your continued kindness and support. Thank you so much for helping me care for them.
