We have been dating for around 8 months now, and he has always been very communicative about his feelings. Unlike my past relationships, where men have been quite emotionally closed off and suddenly lash out one day, I found this refreshing.
Three instances that have led to an actual argument-
I asked him to change the camera angle when he was taking pictures of me, he got upset and said I'm making it sound like he's a bad photographer and doesn't know how to take pictures.
We've recently started running together, he said he wanted to do a 6K. I said maybe we should try and get our 5k down to 30-35mins from 50mins before attempting a longer run. He said that made it sound like I wasn't proud of him.
He's been down with a really bad fever and left work early to come home. He saw a dead cat without a collar and decided to knock on every single neighbourhood door to let them know. I genuinely understood why he was upset and said maybe we could put it up on the neighbourhood Facebook page and he should come home. He got upset and said I was belittling him and that was hurtful.
It's like he is incapable of taking any suggestions, always looks at it as criticism and simply wants me to be agreeable with every single thing he says. He really isn't going through any personal crisis at home/work. How do I deal with this?
