I have a 30+ year old 20ton split system that just got two new TXVs, new filter drier and new R22. Now the compressor goes off on low suction within a minute or so. Before the TXV replacements it was pumping down completely and not equalizing but now my suction pressure slowly drops until my compressor goes off on low pressure and then my suction pressure starts rising back up until it kicks back on. Liquid line pressure at the TXVs during operation is between 180-200 psi with 10-15°sub cooling. All I can think of is both the distributors are clogged. I looked at the distributor nozzles before installing the TXVs and they looked clean.

Any idea what could have caused this and the best course of action to correct it other than replacing the distributors?
