UPDATE 5/3/26
(Not sure why my posts didn’t get through so I’ll update here)
He appeared by our front gate this morning. He followed us on our walk back to our house. I let him into my fenced yard and decided to call AC to report animal neglect because f those neighbors for not taking care of him.😡
I got him food again and he ate a little but he was more interested in getting petted.🥺 He obviously doesn’t get any or enough from them.
I explained the whole backstory of this dog and the neighbors to the AC guy. He said at this point it doesn’t matter if the dog is theirs since they let him run loose in the neighborhood for years.
I told him I don’t want him euthanized so if they can’t find anyone to take him they need to call me and I will get him and try to find him a home myself. He said it’s very unlikely no rescue will take him to get him adopted but that I could call them back in 5 days to find out. I plan on calling them on Friday to get an update.
[This is a little dog who is always left running around my neighborhood. He still looks like his leg is bothering him of you watch closely on the video. I tried to give him a haircut before the bath but he didn’t let me get far since he has lots of knots that I tried to comb and brush but he still won’t let me finish. He is extreme skinny. I can feel his little ribs and bones. Where can I I take him to get help??? I’m going to finisg giving him a bath but I’m no professional so I don’t think he’ll let me groom him. Makes me so mad they don’t take good care of him!]
