Sharing my journey Tapering Off
In my opinion tapering works better than cold turkey due to withdrawal symptoms BUT everyone is different and there’s no right or wrong way. Whats important is you pick 1 of the 2 ways. Before reading Keep in mind I was a daily 24/7 smoker since 2018.
-This past Fall I believe it was Black Friday I made this choice but I first started by switching from Carts to flower/edibles only. 100% thanks to this subreddit because I wouldn’t have made that switch without reading other people’s stories about quitting carts. Those damn Carts/penjamins are dangerous and I’m glad I got away from them!!
-Anyways That was just a first step because I still was smoking during day and mornings still which wasn’t great even if it was flower and not a cart anymore.
-Then I switched strictly to night/before bed only back in early March. And now currently I’m on an every other night basis.
-My goal is to be completely tapered off by 4th of July(no reason why that’s just the deadline I gave myself back in April). I just keep taking less and less away and it’s been working without fail.
My next “checkpoint” in my quitting journey is to get to weekends nights only now that I’ve reduced from 7 nights to 4 nights a week since I’m on an every other night right now.
I’ve learned It’s possible as long you give yourself patience, forgiveness and discipline! Everyone’s journey is different & unique. I’ve personally found tapering off/phasing off is better then cold turkey
