Sort of tongue in cheek sort of serious - I know most 12 year old boys are obnoxious, but mine feels particularly extra lately and it makes me not want to be around him (back talk, very messy, can't read the room, interrupts etc). I know this is fairly typical but it drives me crazy and I'm sure he can tell, which just makes him more unbearable. I feel like an unnatural mother - our temperaments are completely opposite (I am quiet, serious, introverted, he is loud, extroverted, and very ADHD). Help me not totally alienate my child (who I do love, I just don't really like right now) and not lose my mind. Mothers of tweens, how do you cope?
