My grandma gave me her house before she passed away due to cancer. I’ve lived in her house for a few years and finally sold it last month. I got a little over 97000$ after taxes(Not in the US). I was livid, I thought I could finally live worry free of money and was planning to get a loan and buy a bigger house downtown. But then everyone started asking me for money, dad took 10k mom 20k, siblings 5k each and even after the friends/family begging for money part I was still pretty decent financially . I finally changed my car’s engine oil ,got a full body medical inspection ,started working on my diploma, a few parties later I’m down to 20K. I can’t even pay for a down payment on any house ,I could only pay for a year’s rental and figure out a way to buy a house in the meantime. I really feel like I just wasted my grandma’s house she entrusted me with and spent it on drugs and alcohol.
