I lost my licence and I have my driving test today
I feel like a dunce. I’ve had my provisional for about 10 years and never lost it once and i took it as id when i went on holiday recently and I’m sure I brought it back too but I’ve been looking for it for the past week and I can’t find it anywhere and now it’s 8 hours before my test. I’m fucked. Not even asking for advice because I know I’m fucked, this is more me letting off steam and giving you all some comic relief. Hopefully I can find another test soon 😭
Note: I have ADHD so this is very typical, in me turning my house upside down to find it, I’ve found 3 power banks and my SSD I needed months ago 🤣
UPDATE: This is so ridiculous I wouldn’t believe it unless it happened to me but it did so here we are. About 30 minutes ago I get a letter in the mail, and guess what was in it… my fucking licence…. I hadn’t ordered a new one yet so I know it’s the same one I’ve had for 10 years that magically decided to show up. No note or letter, just a handwritten address and a second class stamp. And you know what, before I was coming to terms with the situation but the anger that awoke from deep within I can’t even begin to explain. I spent a whole week tearing my house apart for something that wasn’t even there. I even broke my bedroom door in the process so now that can’t close properly. If I had just booked a test a couple hours later I could have still done my test. If I had chosen a day later I could still do my test. If the kind Samaritan (who I’m still grateful for returning it) had chosen to put a first class instead, I probably still could have done my test. But here I am. With a test now in October 👍🏾
