And yet again a new version of Freetboard (a free online guitar fretboard visualizer). I posted the previous one a couple of days ago, and a number of users suggested some really nice features that I have, for most of them added in the course of this week. So here is :

- An improved UI
- More insturments (ouds and more), now organised in subfolders
- Persistent settings with loads of way to define your favorite configuration
- An improved pattern generator that doesn't stop when you change the pattern, select a new scale or key (great for ear training).
- A scrolling ribbon shows active scale / note sequence
- double clicking a note now highlights all its positions on the fretboard.
- Dedicated play button for user-selected notes (plays the active color)

Enjoy, and please keep sharing your comments.

I'm reposting Freetboard, a free online guitar fretboard visualizer that I already shared here last year. Thanks for the Reddit users who contacted me last week when the app was down. It is now back online with a couple of new features and improvements. Hope you-ll like it. It is still completely free, and comments are more than welcome.

- Support new insturments (Banjos, Dulcimer, Ukuleles, Mandolin and more)
- Settings section (allowing the persistence of various parameters)
- Improved pattern generator + notes flash as they are being played
- Audio playback now includes an optional count-in. Much easier if you intend to play along.
- Loop button
- Improved UI with a new color palette. Root notes are now circled.
