So I recently reached out to an agent on WhatsApp who basically sources whatever items I want from the top factories. When I asked which batch the shoes (MM gats) are from, this is what he said:
“The concept of different batches is made up by yuppo resellers, they pay for shills and hype up a “batch” which leads to more sales in their own store… it’s all marketing. It’s the same exact product from the factory.”
To which I replied: “But why do they have differences in them when they get a shoe let’s say from 2 different batches and people on Reddit review them?”
And he said:
“Just like how this one has a high quality rep version vs low quality version that uses different materials, resellers that resell the high quality one, get the low quality one and the high quality one do side by side comparison and claim that their “batch” is the better one which leads to more sales to their yuppo store”
Is that true? Or can that be true? I’m still new to this but seeing reviews on Reddit makes me feel that the masses are correct and what he’s saying are lies or just trying to take advantage of me?
Would love some insight on this.
