Trying to wrap my head around how Adobe Digital Edition works with Kobo for DRM.
In theory, I can download an ebook (or DRM link to the ebook) to my laptop and then use ADE to authorise the ebook and it's then readable on my laptop.
How is ADE linked to my Kobo account, is it purely by using the same email address?
If so, the issue I have is that I had an Adobe account on my email address previously, which they deactivated due to inactivity. (I was notified and unconcerned at the time) However, it's not possible to reactivate the account or create a new account with the same email address.
Am I stuck, unable to access Kobo ebooks via ADE? Can I change the email on my Kobo account to one that I can have an ADE account with? Will that change retroactively apply to previously purchased books?
