Jio number deactivated due to no recharge.. any way to reactivate it from abroad?
Hi everyone,
My Reliance Jio number got deactivated because I didn’t recharge it for a long time. When I try to use it now, it says the number is inactive/disconnected.
The problem is that I currently live abroad, so I cannot physically visit a Jio Store for reactivation.
This number is linked to a lot of important accounts (banking, OTPs, etc.), so I’m really hoping there’s some way to recover it remotely.
I wanted to ask:
Has anyone successfully reactivated a deactivated Jio SIM remotely while outside India?
Is there any way to do it through customer care, email, or an authorized family member in India?
How long does Jio usually keep a deactivated number before reassigning it?
If the number hasn’t been reassigned yet, is remote reactivation even possible?
I still have the old SIM and can provide ID proof/passport if needed.
