Guest pass problems + barcode card

Today my gf and I scanned in to our local EOS and were stopped at the counter. An employee told me I did not have guest pass privileges, and upon checking my account said that I’d never had them.

I explained that I’d added guest privileges onto my account when I first made it, and paid $5 a month for the privilege. My gf even has a printed out barcode so she can scan in without putting her phone number in every time. The employee couldn’t figure it out, so I asked for manager help. The GM came over and confirmed what he’d said, namely that I’d never paid for guest pass privileges. I asked how my gf could have a printed out card with my guest pass privileges on it if so.

She looked deeper into my account and informed me that when I upgraded to a multi-location pass, nearly two years ago, my guest pass privileges were removed from my account. This makes no sense because my gf has been using my guest pass fairly often for two years now. GM said she’d kick it up to the next level of management but that I’d probably just have to upgrade to the $30 a month pass, which I think is absurd. I do not believe I should have to pay more money for a privilege I’ve already been paying for (or at least so I thought.)

Does anyone have any more insight into this issue or what I should do? I’m a pretty chatty person, I don’t avoid the front desk nor do I avoid signing in (I like checking how many times a month I’ve gone) so it’s hard to believe that I’ve somehow gone two full years without anyone noticing I wasn’t paying for the account privileges I use often.
