hello! i am autistic and i’ve been living in a student dorm the past few weeks, and so i tend to mask a lot more frequently than i did when i lived with my parents. a lot more social activity than i was used to before.

when i visit my parents for a weekend, it’s like i get hit with an extreme wave of exhaustion. i can sleep all day, and im also constantly craving carbs.

does anyone else experience this? trying to see if this is related to autism/burnout/masking fatigue, or if it’s something else
