Hello everyone, I have a driver’s license from California,USA . Is it necessary to get an IDP to rent a car there or there is a company that only asks for the drivers license?

I have submitted a standalone H4EAD on May 1st, 2025 that is still in case received and it hasn’t moved at all since then, then on March 2026 we filled another H4EAD along with the H1B extension of my spouse and H4 extension in PP. Both H1B and H4 got approved within weeks but the new H4EAD hasn’t moved after taking a phot at ASC. We are a bit stressed already because we have been waiting for so long now. Would it make sense to submit a Case Inquiry for the one filled in May 1st? Wondering because the h1b was already extended and I don’t want to jeopardize the current filing of the H4ead, anyone has done it before?
