I switched from Bell to Roger's on February 18. I changed my phone number.
I paid a bill to Bell on February 19 that I owed. Paid them again March 9, thinking pro-rated this, leftover money that. They charged me again April 9, I guess I lost track of time because I remember thinking the same "I guess I still owed them some money", it was like forty bucks or maybe sixty. Got another bill from Bell today, $105. I called them to see what's up and they said that it is my responsibility to notify them when I leave their services. Unless I port my number, they have no way of knowing I left.
Roger's told me at the time that I left Bell that I wouldn't have to do anything, but of course I have no proof of that.
Do I have any recourse at all for having this taken care of? Thank you.
