For me it was Parfums de Marly Layton.

To be honest, I was actually disappointed the first time I smelled it. All I got was this sharp, medicinal, minty scent. It reminded me so much of Vicks Vaporub (smell like heavily of eucalyptus and menthol) lol

I really couldn't understand the hype at first. I kept thinking, why would I want to spend money to smell like a cold remedy?

But after wearing it just second time, my mind completely changed. That medicinal edge started feeling like a crisp and cool opening that perfectly leads into the amazing vanilla and apple dry down. Now, I’m obsessed with it and reach for it all the time. It is absolutely beautiful.

For me, it’s Club de Nuit Intense Man (CDNIM) and Yardley Elite. CDNIM has that good scent bubble and on air smell for the other person and Yardley Elite just feels like a reliable, clean classic that people always seem to appreciate.

What’s the most "unexciting" bottle in your collection that surprisingly turns heads?

I keep trying those expensive seaweed and ocean perfumes everyone loves, but they just smell like a fish market or something dead on the beach to me. I don't see how they are considered luxury at all.

What is a popular marine scent that you actually find gross? Am I the only one who feels this way? : (
