Firstly, I want to thank this group for talking me off a ledge. I posted a while back about a different top I was considering for my mom’s converted wedding skirt and you overwhelmingly voted not to wear it. I added it in the last pic so you can appreciate the upgrade 😂

After a small existential crisis, I finally found the perfect match in terms of style & lace. I love the frilly detail and how it makes me feel, and it’s super comfortable. My one issue is whether to wear the size medium or large. They’re both really comfortable and are flattering in different ways. Maybe you won’t even notice a difference 😅!! I do NOT plan to get it altered in any way to make it fit better, so this is what I’ve got. This is for the reception. My wedding is in two weeks!

Here are the factors:

CUP SIZE: The cups on this corset run small. I find the large fits a lot better around the bust, whereas in the medium the cups sit on top a little too far up and make me look flat.

LENGTH: The large is slightly longer and lays lower over the skirt. I’m not sure which style is better/more cohesive? Maybe a slight preference for medium? However sometimes when I raise my hands up, I notice the frills on the medium tend to get stuck and fold a little into the skirt. They both have this issue, but the large is less of a problem since it has more length & flexibility to hike up.

BONING: On both tops, the boning tends to dig slightly into one of the cups, but I find this a minor imperfection. The main issue is that with the large, the boning along the ribs tends to collapse outward if I bend over or sit in a certain way, which looks unflattering and makes me look a little heavier. This is my biggest hesitation.

Which do you think looks better and why?
