Proxmox Tailscale LXC regression w/kernel 7

Just throwing it out there as a friendly heads up for anyone opting into the 7.0 kernel upgrade.

I run a really simple setup (some services in a Proxmox virtual LAN, mostly LXCs). I run Tailscale inside some of the LXCs to get easy access on my tailnet.

No issues at all until I updated to the 7.0 kernel — then tailscale performance tanked to unusable levels. Nodes were connected directly (they hadn’t gone to DERP or anything).

The only fix was to pin the last 6.x kernel I was running (6.17-something I think) and reboot. Tailscale performance immediately returned to normal.

Just a heads up to anyone with a similar setup.

I get pissed off with this, I think I know why but interested to hear from others.

There’s a friend I have who’s always been somewhat domineering to me. The thing is, they’re also easily dominated by other friends of theirs and they hate it.

So it’s like, what gives? Part of me is like “how come you value their wishes more than mine?”. Having said that I am doing a lot of work around boundary-setting, so I’m getting better at holding my own line and just becoming more aware of this stuff.

It just irks me, I guess it just annoys me that it’s something about me and not them — otherwise they’d be like that with everyone. Like I’m a ‘weakling’ or something.

Can anyone relate?
