My daughter (12) is fairly disrespectful in my opinion. She doesn’t do things I ask her to do like clean up after herself, take care of animals, etc. It seems like almost every interaction I have with her these days is negative. She is very argumentative and always has to have the last word. She was suppose to go to her friends house for a sleep over. The friends parent offered to come and get her. She was supoose to finish cleaning gee room before they got there. About 5-10 before they arrived i checked the room and it wasnt done. I helped by sweeping the mess out in the middle for her to clean up real quick. She got an attitude and smarted off repeatedly. She had already been warned several times just 30 mins before to stop mouthing off. The friend arrived and I made her go to the front door and tell the friend she couldn’t go because she was being disrespectful. The girls dad absolutely PEELED away from our house. Engine screaming… There are burn out marks… I am embarrassed honestly. I do feel really bad I essentially wasted his time… but I am trying to get my daughter to learn she cannot act this way. But I don’t really feel right about what he did either… I texted the dad and apologized with a little explanation - he did not respond.
