Problem/Goal: My mom's BP spiked up to 225/200 yesterday. She was confined to a hospital where she has beneficiary privileges but equipment is incomplete and frustratingly, no doctor will be present from today due to the holiday until Sunday. We want to know if we should take her to another hospital but our funds are really limited.
Context: As mentioned above, my mom's blood pressure was through the roof yesterday. They managed to normalize it last night but it's 160/100 again today. ECG and blood tests are normal but hospital didn't tell us what they even tested. They can't release the records because doctor isn't here to sign. They don't have a CT scan or MRI machine. They did let us know the xray impression which is mild cardiomegaly. We are personally not satisfied with the tests and responses we've been getting. We're only here because my brother is a man in uniform and she has privileges in this hospital. Now, we want to know where else we can take her or if it's even possible during the holidays. Funds are tight. Literally everybody in my family live from paycheck to paycheck. Except for me who has saved P200k which is both my family's emergency fund and budget for my daughter's schooling next year. I know I can save again so I don't mind draining it. But I'm not sure which hospital to take her that won't put everyone in my family to poverty. Please help me. I live right at the border of Pasig so any suggestions in Taguig, Pateros, and Makati are welcome. If you know any good hospitals in Pasig, please please help. We don't have relatives who can help. I'm so overwhelmed and desperate.
