“I am glad you are here with me. Here at the end of all things."
So it appears that the US strategy is to simply cause Iran to fill up all available storage, which then threatens them to shut in wells, potentially damaging them(or worse) which I believe also happened in the 70s.
On one hand, many might want cheaper oil for economic reasons, yet on the other we've seen a glut of cheap oil on the global market for some time. Other oil producers the world over would benefit if Iran's major reservoirs closed permanently, which might just be on the table.
"Drill baby drill"
I don't think it's a secret that the Trump admin has been supported by US oil companies in a major way. Which begs the question, what does Trump want? And does he even have a clear focus considering we see him tend to shift his focus to whoever the last person is that spoke in his ear?
If you think this is actually about nuclear weapons, please provide evidence of that being the case. I figured as a country we would have been more demanding of evidence of WMD's the next time around.
And if you're a petroleum engineer/geologist lurking in this sub and you know something about the dangers of shutting in wells (especially with regard to the geologic setting of Iran's major formations), it'd be just super if you said something beyond what AI can tell me.
