Still trying to find sound

I am still trying to diagnose the clunkage up front, I hear it when hitting bumps and something when I let on and off the brake.( it’s not lug nuts or ball joints or control Arms or the track bar. I’m pretty sure it’s no the shock either) when I hit the spring it rattle and creates a sound similar to the one I her when driving. The retrainer clip is tight. Any help is appreciated thank you very much much

I recently installed a 3 in ome lift kit into my 2001 xj. Ever since I have been hearing a clunking a noise in the front end near the wheels when I hit a bump of any size. So far I’ve made sure all the lugs are tight, the sway bar link bolts are tight, the sway bar bushings aren’t shot, the shock bolts are tight, all the control arm bolts are tight. I have figured out that if I punch the coils spring it rattles similar to the sound I hear when driving. Any one experienced this before or have any ideas what it would be let me know! Thanks in advance.

I just put on a 3.5 in ome lift from dpg. I’m trying to get a wheel and tire setup that avoids rubbing/trimming. Currently I have some really deep dish wheels(not sure of the offset) with 31/10.5/15r tires and they rub on the front bumper caps at about a turn and a half of the steering wheel. I’m keeping the same tires but moving them over to a set of stock mesh wheels that are 15x 7(I think) with 5.25 backspacing. I’m hoping the change in offset will avoid rubbing. Can anyone tell me if this will avoid rubbing or if not what I can expect with the setup, thanks in advance.
